Otto HAGEL was a documentary photographer. He was born,
1909 March 12, in
Fellbach, Germany, moved to the
United States, freelanced and photographed for Lifemagazine, farmed and died, 1973 January 18, at his home Singing Hills in Santa Rosa, California which he built himself. He lived with his wife Hansel MIETH (www.HanselMieth.com) who was also a documentary photographer (as well as painter).
